Demise Blues

And it dawns on me, I don't get to have birthday blues. The sporadic and out of nowhere blankness, rapid heart beats and melancholy stem from your demise three days before the 20th of November 2017.

You know every thought in my mind and every beat of my heart.

Today is your 7th blessed death anniversary. You were and always will be my most favorite person in the world.

Seven years without you yet your love remains to be the most constant that keeps me alive.

The Swing Route

   When I really really like a movie, I watch it again in a brief span of time. Lonely Planet on Netflix did that to me. It is a May- December love affair of Katherine (Laura Dern) and Owen (Liam Hemsworth). Is there any girl who does not fancy Liam? Tall, handsome and sexy.:)

Owen played as a college quarterback. The best line of the film was lifted from his football coach that once shared to him the "swing route." Owen explained it is trusting your inner instincts when uncertainties happen. It is finding hope in a big mess. 

This I ponder of late as I reflect on my life's twists and turns. There are good days and shitty days. With the recent unmet goals and halted expectations, my spirit at times goes upside down. In the dark and bumpy road, I choose to remain hopeful, noting life is not all pink and bright all the time.
