In the world of sports, only basketball and tennis are the ones that I am passionately interested. I have a strong knowledge about these two, I can stay glued in front of the television watching games, discuss the scores and plays with confidence, and closely monitor the current seasons and team standings.
As I have discovered, here in US, football is a BIG sports. Super Bowl is an extraordinary Sunday for all, and I now always join the chats and thoughts about it. For this year, it is an even more spectacular one because on of the players is Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis.
I have a sweet niece, Katrina, who is constantly supportive of her crazy auntie Mitzi, a Swiftie. She ordered this pretty sweater for me.
My NFL version:
- I continue to have 1% idea of how the game is played. I only know touchdown.
- I barely know the players, except for Patrick Mahomes (my brothers like him) and of course Travis Kelce as he is TS' newest beau. But on the day game, I discovered Purdy of SF 49ers, oh the boy is cute!!! I learned that he is way underpaid compared to Mahomes.
- My sweater paved the reason to hold a first-ever Jersey Day and potluck party in my clinic. Staff and patients wore their cherished and favorite jersey tops.
- Super Bowl is a Sunday to enjoy good food and booze shared with friends and family, plus the much awaited Half Time, this year with Usher on the show.
- I do not have the intention and plan to know the rules, teams and players of football but for sure, next year, I will join Super Bowl parties again.:)
